🔮 Second Conditional: Нереальное настоящее и будущее

О чём идёт речь?

Это конструкция для воображаемых, нереальных или почти невозможных ситуаций. Мы используем её, когда говорим:

«Вот если бы… тогда бы… (но сейчас это не так)»

Это мир гипотез, мечтаний и советов, которые не отражают реальность в данный момент.

✨ Примеры с новыми ситуациями

  1. If I spoke Japanese, I would move to Tokyo. (Если бы я говорил по-японски, я бы переехал в Токио.)
  2. If we lived near the ocean, we would go surfing every morning. (Если бы мы жили у океана, мы бы ходили на серфинг каждое утро.)
  3. If he were the president, he would cancel all exams. (Если бы он был президентом, он бы отменил все экзамены.)
  4. If they had a private jet, they would never wait at the airport. (Если бы у них был частный самолёт, они бы никогда не ждали в аэропорту.)
  5. If it snowed here, the city would stop working. (Если бы здесь шёл снег, город бы остановил работу.)

💡 Важные детали

  • Это не про реальность. Ситуация прямо сейчас не происходит, и мы это знаем. — If I had a dog, I would walk it every day. (Но у меня нет собаки.)
  • Глагол to be → were. В формальном английском для всех лиц используется were, особенно в советах: — If I were you, I would take that job.
  • Порядок можно менять. Результат может стоять первым, а условие — вторым. Запятая тогда не нужна: — I would travel more if I had more free time.
