Усиление So и Such

Теория (so/such)

So и such помогают сделать речь более выразительной. Их можно перевести как «так», «такой», «до такой степени».

So ставится перед прилагательными и наречиями — то есть перед тем, что описывает признак или действие.

Схема:

  • so + слово, отвечающее на вопрос «какой?» или «как?»

Примеры:

  • The water is so cold.
  • She speaks so quietly.
  • They arrived so late.

👉 Часто за so следует пояснение последствий:

  • He was so hungry that he ate everything.
  • The bag was so heavy that I couldn’t carry it.

Such ставится перед существительными (иногда с прилагательным внутри).

Схемы:

  • such + a / an + (прилагательное) + существительное в единственном числе
  • such + (прилагательное) + существительное во множественном или неисчисляемом числе

Примеры:

  • She has such a beautiful voice.
  • It was such a surprise.
  • We had such wonderful friends.
  • This is such fresh bread.
